Year 1 of Red Wing Art Pottery produced mostly utilitarian forms in brush ware…jardinières, urns, umbrella stands. A very few forms like 164S ¨The Lion Vase¨ were glazed in glossy exteriors. This Combination Gray and Tan preceded the popular Nokomis glaze by just a few years. At 7.5 in. tall, it is ink-stamped and perfect with no imperfections.
